Enjoy local Oregon wines, great nibbles and watch our Project Company at work with Nederlands Dans Theater's Maurice Causey as he creates his second work for the Northwest Dance Project. Following the choreographic session, noted arts critic Bob Hicks will moderate an insightful discussion with Maurice about his history, tenure as a leading Forsythe dancer, the artistic process and his latest piece that attendees will be encouraged to contribute their observations and questions to.

Enjoy local Oregon wine with an Italian flavor, tasty nibbles and watch our Project Company at work with Italian born, Paris-based international choreographer Luca Veggetti as he remounts his signature work, "Ensemble for Somnambulists," originally created for the Northwest Dance Project in 2006. Following the choreographic session, noted arts critic Bob Hicks will moderate an insightful discussion with Luca about his history, artistic process and his latest piece that attendees will be encouraged to contribute their observations and questions to. Luca is fluent in Italian, French, Spanish and English, so we also welcome you to test your foreign language skills!

Have you ever wanted to experience what takes place long before the curtain goes up? Ever wondered about the creative process that goes unseen by most in the dance studio? The Northwest Dance Project offers its supporters the chance to experience a studio rehearsal with one of our guest artists, followed by a meet-and-greet reception with our artists and dancers. Our special Behind the Scenes events have been extremely popular and a highlight of The Northwest Dance Project's annual activities.
